BBC DRAMA AWARDS – Four nominations for Goldhawk

THE MUMBAI CHUZZLEWITS

The drama serial THE MUMBAI CHUZZLEWITS starring Roshan Seth has been nominated for Best Drama Serial and Best Adaptation at the BBC Audio Drama Awards 2013. Writer Ayeesha Menon’s reworking of Charles Dickens’ classic, “Martin Chuzzlewit”, setting it in the hot, dusty streets of Mumbai, India, was a popular and compelling drama serial broadcast on BBC Radio 4 last year. It was recorded in India by director John Dryden and producer Nadir Khan.

In the Best Supporting Actress category Niamh Cusack has been short-listed in Rachel Joyce’s drama, THE MAN WITH WINGS directed by Gordon House.

And in the special Tinniswood Radio Drama Award for Best Radio Drama Script, writer Christopher William Hill is nominated for his five-part black comedy ANGARRACK, produced for Goldhawk Essential by Gordon House.

The BBC Audio Drama Awards are to take place in London on Sunday evening.
